A temporary exhibition and series of artistic interventions at Charlottenburg Palace, Berlin, presented from July to October 2023. Commissioned by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg.
The exhibition investigates Prussia’s colonial entanglements through its palaces, collections, and historical figures. It critically examines how colonialism shaped cultural heritage, influenced courtly life, and reinforced structures of political power. Featuring original objects, multimedia installations, and contemporary artistic responses, the exhibition invites visitors to confront the legacies of colonialism and reflect on their resonance today.
