About Self-therapy &Post-surgical depression
Feelings of mortality, loss, and vulnerability can appear after an operation. Post-surgical depression can be profound, and recognition and treatment have to become a normal surgery's aftermath. Touch is an immensely important sensation and has been linked to many healing properties like for pain therapy. The perception of the own body can be influenced by touch and vision. The more a body part is touched and
observed the better defined that area becomes in the brain, in the sensory cortex, and in the mind. This can lead to increased confidence in the specific area. Three different self-therapy-tools embedded in a therapy treatment will guide patients through this depression. The use of those tools help the patients to discover, understand, get to know and accept their changed physical appearance and psychical condition.
